Romantic Spring Elopement

I was given an amazing opportunity here – to capture two people who love each other so much that they wanted to be married right away. But, due to a lot of recent events going on lately, I want to stop here and talk about something else. As you can see, our couple has matching semicolon tattoos. Project Semicolon is an organization dedicated to the prevention of suicide. It is meant to represent the pause right before you continue the sentence. You could have ended the sentence, but decided to continue the sentence because it needed more. More information, a better description, just more. In life, you may feel like giving up, but there is still more to your story, more to your description than an end. After two beautiful, talented, well-known individuals have taken their lives, it's time for us to check in our friends and fight for better resources. Moving forward, I must say the best part about capturing a love story is that they always differ so much. Every wedding is like a fingerprint for the couple, and this couple (remaining anonymous) planned out a big wedding, but just couldn’t wait. They decided to have an intimate elopement ceremony with just their closest friends and family.

After an intimate ceremony in a family member's yard, the couple had a relaxed reception. For them, it wasn't about the details, it was about sharing a moment with the ones who cheered it on the most. Two people who have been best friends since they were 12 came together on a special day, and finally united as one.

Even as I'm typing, I simply can't put into words how beautiful this wedding was to me, or to anyone who had the luxury of joining us on this day. This is just one of the many reasons I'm glad to be a photographer. I get to capture the beautiful, the special, the real moments we go through every single day. This was a normal day for anyone else, but a day anyone in attendance will never forget.
